If you do not fear God, hell or eternal damnation, what is your incentive to act morally and responsibly?

It is sad that someone has to live their life in fear in order to do good. The reward for acting morally responsibly is a better society, friendship and a safe community. Your gut tells you what is right and what is wrong, why do you need fear of hell and damnation? If you need the fear of hell and damnation to do good, I am sorry to say but you are not a good person to begin with and I wouldn't want you living in my community.
