1. Although we think we are not animals, we are. The only difference between us and the other animals is ego. The ego makes us think we are better than other animals, different from other animals, smarter than other animals and that we are here to rule over them.
2. We are not here to rule the other animals. We are here to live side by side with them. Everything in nature has a purpose. If we remove animals from their natural habitat or destroy them, they cannot serve their purpose. If we believe we are here to rule them then we believe we can do whatever we want to them, like make them our pets, alter their dna, try to breed them with each other, hold them captive etc.
3. We are not better than the other animals. We are not wiser than they are. They are, in fact, better than we are. They know when earthquakes will happen, we don’t. They know when volcanoes will erupt, we don’t. They know when a storm approaches, we don’t. They have everything they need from nature like food and shelter. They are more in tune with nature than we could ever be.
4. We need to learn from the animals, for they are our teachers. We need to look at the way they live and learn from that. We need to look at how they collect food and learn from that. We need to look at how they get along as a community and learn from that.
